Our outstanding specialisation in many sectors of public law is also the result of our long years experience in advising the Federation, Federal States, cities, communities, community associations, and other entities of public law. In connection with the performance of their duties, the public sector seeks our advice in the core areas of construction, planning and development, invitations to tender and negotiations with energy and water suppliers. In addition, we advise and represent cities and communities in all legal questions arising in the course of business from the law on levying charges to subsidies, whether in court or out-of-court, including the enforcement of communal rights vis-à-vis regional planning projects.
We also have particular know-how in the conduct of privatisations and the structuring of public private partnerships. The same applies for advising on associations of hospitals and the organisation of communal interests. In public construction law, we call on our capacity built-up over many years in planning/zoning questions, determination of use, the preparation of development and all questions of urban development and the protection of historical monuments. We also represent communities as real estate owners in all questions of conveyancing and private construction law.
On behalf of communities, we deal with the location of commercial units, energy generators and extractors of natural resources or the establishment of waste disposal sites in all relevant public law questions. That includes permission for the creation of the plant, the construction permits, the conclusion of urban planning agreements, local residence models, securing locations and the sometimes very special environmental, technical and waste disposal issues.
Our expertise in public procurement law guarantees a legally secure invitation to tender and thereby avoidance of later review proceedings.
