The Bavarian cabinet today approved a takeover of the Augsburg Hospital as a university hospital from the end of 2018.
In preparation for the decision described by the Bavarian prime minister as "a decision of the century", a Seufert Rechtsanwälte team advised the State of Bavaria and subjected the Augsburg Hospital to a comprehensive review on behalf of the State. As a hospital at the highest level of care, Augsburg Hospital offers almost all medical specialisations.
The hospital comprises 25 clinics and institutes. There are over 700 doctors and approx. 2,000 nursing staff in the treatment centres, clinics and institutes.
