 IBA (International Bar Association)
The International Bar Association, the world´s largest international organisation of law societies and individual lawyers, was established in 1947 and its members presently number more than 16,000 lawyers in 183 countries and 178 law societies representing more than 2.5 million legal practitioners.
The aim of the Association is to provide a forum where lawyers can meet other lawyers and exchange ideas with them.
The Association maintains over 57 special committees covering a wide range of legal topics, divided into three sections dealing with commercial law, court practice and energy and raw materials law.
